Chandler Smith made his ARCA Menards Series debut with Venturini Motorsports in 2018 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, where he earned a top-five finish. In just his fourth-ever start, Smith dominated and won after leading the most laps of the race at Madison International Speedway. Smith returned to Venturini Motorsports the following year, slated to run a part-time schedule of 11 races due to age restrictions. Smith also made four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) starts that year for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM). 2020 saw Smith returning to both Venturini and KBM for limited schedules before being promoted to full-time driver for KBM’s No. 18 entry for the 2021 season. During his rookie season, Smith recorded two wins, 213 laps led, six top five and nine top-10 finishes. He earned his first career NCWTS win in September of 2021 at Bristol Motor Speedway and closed out the 2021 season with a win at Phoenix Raceway. Smith earned 2021 NCWTS Rookie of the Year honors and finished eighth in the championship standings.

Smith returned to KBM in 2022 for his second, full-time season behind the wheel of the No. 18 Safelite Tundra TRD Pro in the NCWTS. Across 58 career starts in the NCWTS, Smith has compiled five wins, one pole, 729 laps led, 22 top five and 32 top-10 finishes, resulting in an average finish of 12.8. 

Moving up the ranks in NASCAR’s National Series, the 20-year-old Georgia native has signed a multi-year deal with Kaulig Racing and plans to compete for Rookie of the Year honors in the NXS during the 2023 season, as he will pilot the No. 16 entry full-time.
