Go Bowling 250 Post-Race Report

September 11, 2021

Justin Haley, No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevrolet

Start: 4th

Stage 1 Finish: 13th

Stage 2 Finish: 2nd

Finish: 2nd

“We’ve had three top-five finishes in a row, which really shows the caliber of our team when we get into our groove. We had a pretty good strategy but just came up a little short in the end. We just needed another lap or so. It hurts to lose a race that way, so it’s a little disappointing. The No. 9 car was just fast enough and made no mistakes, so he got it in the end.”

Jeb Burton, No. 10 State Water Heaters Chevrolet

Start: 6th

Stage 1 Finish: 38th

Stage 2 Finish: 35th

Finish: 10th

“It was a tough day, but we made a ton of gains. I’m really proud of all the guys. We had a really fast car but had some bad luck with a battery issue and a penalty that set us back. I think we could have had a top-five finish. We will be ready for Bristol next week, which is another track I really enjoy.”

– Jeb Burton

AJ Allmendinger, No. 16 Hyperice Chevrolet

Start: 8th

Stage 1 Finish: 1st

Stage 2 Finish: 2nd

Finish: 18th

“It wasn’t the day we wanted at Richmond. Our Hyperice Chevy was super fast, but we had a few mistakes, along with some bad luck. In the end, tire fall-off hurt us. We will regroup this week and get ready for the last race of the regular season at Bristol, a place I have run well at in the past.”
