  • Happy with the handling of the No. 16 Campers Inn RV Chevy, Eckes finished the opening stage in 11th place, radioing that he just needed to maintain his tires better. Eckes raced his way inside the top 10 during Stage 2 and made his scheduled green-flag pit stop, before the stage’s end, putting him inside the top five to start the final stage. Running times consistent with the second-place car, clicking off times similar to the second place car. As a late-race caution came with four laps remaining, Eckes has used up his tires. He pitted and restarted 10th for the first overtime attempt, where he ultimately finished the race, earning his 14th top 10 of the season.

“I’m really happy with the speed we had in our No. 16 Campers Inn RV Chevy; I just needed to manage my tires better. We were in position for a top five there before the last caution. Unfortunately, my tires were used up and had to pit there at the end. Overall, not a bad night coming home with a 10th-place finish.”

– Christian Eckes

No. 11 Action Industries Chevrolet

  • Start: 27th
  • Stage 1 Finish: 16th
  • Stage 2 Finish: 27th

  • Hemric made steady progress throughout the opening stage, clicking off top-five lap times, before finishing Stage 1 in 16th place. After driving inside the top 10 during Stage 2, Hemric was assessed a speeding penalty on pit road during his scheduled stop, putting him at the tail of the field to start the final stage. With 15 laps remaining, he recovered from the penalty, sitting 13th when a late-race caution came out with four laps remaining. Needing tires, Hemric pitted under caution before the first overtime attempt. He went on to finish 17th.

“I’m frustrated with my mistakes there on pit road, but I had a ton of fun driving the No. 11 Action Industries Chevrolet. It was fun to pass as many cars as we did and have a lot of speed. It helped me build a lot of confidence for my road course craft. The team deserved a better result than we got, but we had a lot of fun, and I look forward to doing it again next week.”

– Daniel Hemric

No. 10 bproauto Chevrolet

  • Start: 38th
  • Stage 1 Finish: 28th
  • Stage 2 Finish: 26th
  • Finish: 36th
  • On lap two of the Blue Cross NC 250, Daniel Dye’s left front fender was clipped, causing the tire to go down. He pitted under green for left-side tires, eventually falling one lap to the leaders. When a caution came out on lap 14, Dye received the free pass and pitted under yellow, before finishing the stage in 28th. After starting the second stage inside the top 25, Dye received nose damage on the No. 10 bproauto Chevy but was able to hold on to 26th place before pitting during the second stage break for damage repairs. As the field was coming to the green to start the final stage, Dye radioed that he had an engine issue and drove to the garage. The team concluded that the engine expired, forcing Dye to retire early from the race. He was relegated to a 36th-place finish.
