Born in Middletown, NY, Christian Eckes began racing Legend cars at the age of 13, before moving on to race late models for JR Motorsports, as well as super late models for LFR Chassis as part its driver development program. In 2016, Eckes became one of the youngest drivers to win the infamous Snowball Derby at age 16.
In his first full season in the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) in 2019, Eckes went on to win the series championship with four wins, 13 top five, and 17 top-10 finishes. Eckes also competed part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) that same year for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM), making eight starts and helping secure KBM’s seventh Owner’s Championship.
2020 marked Eckes’ first full-time season in the NCTS, finishing eighth in the playoff standings. He competed in only a part-time schedule the following year, but returned to full-time competition in 2022. Since then, he went on to earn a total of nine wins, 45 top fives, 73 top 10s, and nine pole awards en route to being named the 2024 regular-season champion, finishing third in the overall standings.
In 2025, Eckes is set to compete full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) for Kaulig Racing in the No. 16 Chevrolet. When he’s not behind the wheel, Christian enjoys spending time with his black lab, Armstrong.
