Stemming from the short tracks of South Florida, Josh Williams began his racing career running go-karts near his hometown of Port Charlotte, Florida, eventually becoming a Bandolero champion in 2005. Running for his own team, JW Motorsports, Williams made his national series debut in 2009 in the ARCA Menards Series (AMS), winning his first race in 2016.
Mario Gosselin, a longtime friend and NASCAR veteran, hired Williams to run part-time for DGM Racing in the NXS before moving him up to a full-time ride in 2019. Williams joined Kaulig Racing in 2024, driving the No. 11 Chevy in the NXS, and made two NASCAR Cup Series appearances in the No. 16 Camaro.
Off the track, Williams is involved in the Josh Williams Hospital Tour (JWHT). The JWHT, formed in 2015, provides hope and love for children and their families across the country. Visiting nearly 200 children’s hospitals, Josh was nominated as a finalist for the 2022 Comcast Community Champion of the Year Award.
Williams still enjoys fixing and building race cars in his free time. JW Motorsports, a driver development program, provides this outlet for him and helps young drivers nationwide.
