“It was a hard fought day. Everyone on this No. 16 team fought hard. Jason and the rest of the crew worked hard on making adjustments. I could just never get a good feel on what I needed. A lot of that is on me not having been to phoenix for a while, especially running in the PJ1. I definitely struggled all day. Justin and Jeb looked like they had a little more speed, but compared to the No. 22 who we know we will have to beat if we come back here and compete for a championship, we’ve got some work to do. I’ve got a lot of work to do myself. More than anything, I’m proud of this race team to get a top five out of the mess that happened at the end is a solid day. We will be better next time.”

Jeb Burton, No. 10 Chevy Accessories Chevrolet
Start: 6th
Stage 1 Finish: 8th
Stage 2 Finish: 6th
Finish: 6th
“I thought that was our best race of the year. The team did a great job. I put us a little behind from a speeding penalty while we were just trying to get all we could on pit road. We were a top-seven car all day. I haven’t been to phoenix in five years, but I am really happy with the speed that we had. I think we will be a lot better when we come back hopefully running for a championship.”

Justin Haley, No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevrolet
Start: 5th
Stage 1 Finish: 7th
Stage 2 Finish: 5th
Finish: 26th
“That was probably the best I have been at Phoenix. I feel like we’ve had the best car out of our camp all year, but we haven’t really gotten the finishes we deserve. It’s a bummer when we ran up front all day, but didn’t finish the way we should have. We were really good.”
