Talladega Superspeedway Post-Race Report

October 5, 2021

Sparks 300

Justin Haley, No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevrolet

Start: 8th

Stage 1 Finish: 37th

Stage 2 Finish: 8th

Finish: 6th

“All in all, it was a solid points day for us. It wasn’t quite the finish we wanted, and I think we could have won had the race not been shortened. I’m thankful for all of our Kaulig Racing guys for working hard and executing all day. Hopefully we have another great day at the ROVAL next week to get ready for the second round of the playoffs.”

– Justin Haley

Jeb Burton, No. 10 Nutrien Ag Solutions Chevrolet

Start: 14th

Stage 1 Finish: 2nd

Stage 2 Finish: 6th

Finish: 7th

“I’m proud of all my guys. I wanted to win for Nutrien Ag Solutions – they gave me this opportunity. I appreciate them and all my partners that have helped us get to this point. Kaulig Racing is pretty good at road courses, so I think we have a good shot of moving on to the round of 8 next week at the ROVAL.”

– Jeb Burton

AJ Allmendinger, No. 16 Gold Fish Casino Slots Chevrolet

Start: 5th

Stage 1 Finish: 39th

Stage 2 Finish: 39th

Finish: 39th

“I hate that our day ended early. I got hung up by someone, and once you get back in the pack there’s a chance of that happening. At the end of the day it’s disappointing, but that’s why you work so hard during the regular season to get all those bonus points. It doesn’t completely put you in a hole. Im disappointed for Gold Fish Casino Slots having their first race end early. We’ve had a pretty good record bringing new partners on board and getting them to victory lane. It’s just a minor setback during a great year. Next week, we are going to a pretty good racetrack for us.”

YellaWood 500

Justin Haley, No. 16 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Camaro Zl1 1LE

Start: 38th

Stage 1 Finish: 22nd

Rain-Shortened Finish: 20th

“I’m disappointed we couldn’t finish the race due to rain, but we had a really great run. We had a really fast No. 16 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevy, and we even led some laps! We had a good strategy, and I think we would have been able to contend there at the end if it didn’t start raining. I’m looking forward to doing this full-time next year with Kaulig Racing!”
