Kaulig Racing Weekly Advance | Phoenix Raceway

Kaulig Racing to Compete for Series Title in Phoenix

“We had a solid day the last time we raced in Phoenix earlier this year, running sixth for most of the race. Both ends of the track are very different, which makes it challenging. It’s definitely not an easy place to master, but we have been working hard to improve on our package for this track during our simulator time. I think we have made a ton of progress, and I’m really optimistic that this No. 10 team will finish out the season strong.”

– Jeb Burton, No. 10 Nutrien Ag Solutions Chevrolet

“It’s a bittersweet week for me heading to Phoenix. I wish we were competing for the championship for the second year in-a-row alongside my teammate, AJ Allmendinger, but this weekend will also mark the beginning of a new chapter for me. I’ve really enjoyed the last three seasons competing in the Xfinity series, but I’m looking forward to going full-time cup racing with Kaulig Racing next year and continuing to help build this program.”

– Justin Haley, No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevrolet

“This entire year has been a dream come true for me. A few years ago, I would have never imagined that I would be competing for the NASCAR Xfinity series title. This week is what we have been working all year for, and I believe that all the men and women at Kaulig Racing are ready for it. We earned a top-five finish at Phoenix earlier this year, and we’ve been working since then to be even better. It’s both a highly challenging and extremely fun racetrack, and with the addition of the resin, it presents even more of a challenge, since we have never raced on that surface under those conditions. I’m looking forward to taking everything in this week and enjoying this moment with my Kaulig Racing family.”

– AJ Allmendinger, No. 16 Hyperice Chevrolet

About Kaulig Racing
Kaulig Racing™ is a full-time multi-car NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) and NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) team, owned by award winning entrepreneur, Matt Kaulig. Established in 2016, Kaulig Racing™ has made the NXS Playoffs consecutively each season since the playoff system started and has won back-to-back regular-season championships. Before becoming a full-time NCS team, Kaulig Racing made multiple starts in the 2021 NCS season and won in its seventh-ever start with AJ Allmendinger’s victory at “The Brickyard” for the Verizon 200 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The team expanded to a two-car, full-time NCS team in 2022 with Justin Haley piloting the No. 31 Camaro ZL1, and an all-star lineup featured in the No. 16 Camaro ZL1. Haley will continue to drive the No. 31 full-time in 2023, alongside AJ Allmendinger, who will drive the No. 16 Camaro ZL1. The team will continue to field three, full-time NXS entries; the No. 10 Chevrolet driven by an all-star lineup that will be announced at a later date, the No. 11 Chevrolet driven by Daniel Hemric, and the No. 16 Chevrolet driven by Chandler Smith.
